| Up for auction is my 12/70 240Z in awesome mostly original condition (items replaced: tires, upper rad hose, and 2 hatch emblems). The Z was owned by a woman in Idaho and in storage from 1978 thru 2004. I have documentation for rental fee of $6.75! The winner of this auction will get some photos of the storage facility for your records as well as a small record booklet with general maintenance and gas costs beginning in 1977 with 37,000 miles and continuing thru 1978 with 47,000 miles. The car held up very well while in storage. The facility had a dirt floor and was well ventilated. The low humidity levels in Idaho preserved the car as well. A mechanic went through the car to get it into running and driving condition and I have driven the car maybe 5 times. It still has the Idaho vanity tags and her executed Idaho title. The car now performs GREAT and is road worthy for its new owner. There isn't any rust and there is NO undercoating just the original paint

EXTERIOR
The car has great overall sheetmetal condition. The factory body lines are well defined. The original joint seems are spotweld detail from new. The car had one repaint back in the 70's. The jambs were left original. There are some minor touch-ups done over typical blemishes and they look professionally done. The paint has held up well and is above driver quality level. On a scale of 1-10, I rate it an 8. The chrome is original and shiny with some minor underside pitting. Both bumpers show a dent in the center as per photos. The rear hatch shock is weak. The balance of the exterior looks great!
INTERIOR
The interior is in great overall condition with the exception of two areas on the drivers backrest as per photos. The seam shows some separation. Everything works lights, fan switch, turn signal, power antena, clock, horn etc...( No cracks in original dash)
ENGINE
The engine bay is very clean and original. The upper radiator hose had to be changed. The drivetrain performs great in all gears with plenty of power and torque. The car steers and handles just as well. The brake system, clutch slave cylinder, original radiator, fan clutch were all reconditioned. Also, the engine oil and filter were changed and new NGK plugs and tires were installed. The AC compressor works and blowing cool air.
UNDERCARRIAGE
The bottom side of this car is as "SOLID AS A ROCK". The photos show some typical build-up of grime, but after my clean-up I was amazed at how well it has retained its originality.
