Up for auction is a 1990 Mazda B2200 that I bought as a project for my son and myself. It was intended to be his first vehicle. He has since lost interest and I do not have the time to finish it. It will make a very good truck for someone who knows how to tune a Weber carb. This truck runs smooth as silk mechanically it just runs very rich and wil not accellerate, therefore it will need to be put on a trailer and be taken to its new home. This project is about 90% complete All electric options work. The body is straight with a few small dings and solid with the only rust being a small surface spot just below the passenger winshield wiper, see pic. I have a bunch of spare parts that will be included with this auction.
What it has:
1) Totally rebuilt motor, block and head have all new internals or reconditioned. It is as good as new. Timing belt, water pump, oil pump etc etc all new. This motor has absoluteley 0 miles on it besides running in our driveway.
2) New Weber carb conversion. With Holley fuel pressure reg. set at 3.5 PSI
3) New Pacesetter header
4) New fuel Pump and associated fuel lines, filters
5) New shocks
6) Completely new brakes on rear, fronts were fine
7) New Exedy clutch, throw out brg, pilot brg, slave cylinder
8) JVC cd player, kenwood front speakers
9) Good interior, front seats were ripped but new seat covers make them look good. Rear seats are excellent.
What it needs:
1) Someone who knows what they are doing with a Weber carb. It needs to be tuned.
2) New tires in the near future, some life left but it will need to be addressed.
3) Exhaust system. The one on it functions but it will need attention.
4) A paint job. The paint is not too bad but it would look better with a new job.
5) Fix the A/C. It works when charged, but it only stays charged for 2-3 days. Yes, it has been coverted to 134a. The evaporator core leaks. I will provide a brand new one that I never installed.
6) Replace the valve cover gasket. when I installed the new one I forgot to put sealant over the front and rear part of the seal, so it leaks there. I have a new one.
