1954 Nash Metro. If you are looking at this ad you must love these old little cars. My father bought this car for my mother 30 years ago and promised to finish it and never did. I am sure you have heard that story before. The car comes with two donor cars (if you want them) and most of the original parts that came on the car are with it. However there are many sources for complete new old stock or reproduction parts for these cars now. Years ago this was not the case.
Body: The floor boards have been replaced and the rest of the body is in great shape and only needing alittle work to get it ready for paint.
Suspension and Brakes: The brakes where re-done several years ago but I am sure that the wheel cylinders need replaced because the brake pedal goes to the floor. Pads where replaced and never driven on. The front suspension was re-done with new king pins and any tie-rods that needed replaced. The tires are new but 20+ years old.
Interior: basically everything needs to be re-done! Most of the parts are there to be re-covered. The wiring and speedo all work.
Engine: The engine is a mid 50's bus motor, yes it has a big block...Well not really a big block but it is a 1500cc vrs the stock 1200cc. The motor ran great when it last ran 10 years ago. The water pump is frozen but the motor turns. We also put a new clutch in it when engine was out.
The car has been stored all these years inside my warehouse so it has been out of the weather. Everything is there to make this a great little project for someone who loves these cars. I know most shippers do not like to ship cars that do not run so please be aware of that. As you can see from the pictures there are boxes and boxes of parts that come with the three cars.
