This is a nice '65 Delta 88 with some nice options: full chrome trim package, 425 Super Rocket big block, switch pitch turbo 400 and a/c. Unfortunately, the a/c is not hooked up and the compressor and condenser are not installed. However, they are both included, appear to be in excellent condition and should be no problem for any competent mechanic to install and get working. This car is very clean and the interior is very nice, I've had a lot of compliments on it. It has new carpet, headliner, seat skins, and the bottom half of the interior door trim. All the weatherstripping is also new. The front and rear glass has been removed and resealed.
This car has the original manual and proteco plate in the glove box.
The engine looks and runs very nice. It was taken apart last year, hot tanked, magnafluxed and rebuilt by the book. It has the stock aluminum pistons re-ringed, stock forged crank re-ground with new bearings. Very smooth, very powerful. This is an "ultra high compression" 425 and the compression ratio on this motor is 10.25 : 1 stock and it still runs fine on pump gas with 10 degrees of advance. Stock horsepower is rated at 360 and 470 ft/lbs torque. Distributor has a Pertronix Ignitor magnetic trigger module. Intake is an Edelbrock performer 455 topped with an Edelbrock electric chock carb.
Car drives and steers smooth and straight, but needs new shocks, getting kinda rough over bad roads.
Transmission is the original, rare, switch pitch 400, in perfect working condition, but has a slow fluid leak from around the shifter. I flushed the trans fluid and put in a new filter last year when I had the engine out. Rear end is the big 12 bolt Olds, also stock.
Paint isn’t perfect, but, as you can see in the pictures, it’s not bad either. This is a custom PPG color a friend mixed for me. Best I can describe it is a Silver mixed with a military Olive Green. Very unique.
All the trim is installed and in near perfect condition. Bumpers are nice, no dents, good chrome. Glass is perfect, no cracks or chips or scratches. Glass tint is limo black, slightly faded, but still looks good. Body and frame are straight and solid.
I recently changed the tags on this car over to another one but I can easily get it tagged again. All the lights work, new brakes, new tires, new fluids, everything works, everything road ready. If you intend to drive this car home, just let me know before hand and I will take care of the tags.
