1973 RED Volkswagen Westfalia Camper. Camper style VW Bus/van with pop-top and excellent canvas condition. Automatic, 4-cylinder air cooled engine. 81K miles on the odometer The van now needs a new engine or engine rebuild. Engine either needs to be rebuilt or replaced due to overheating and damage to the heads and maybe the pistons. I cannot afford to have the mechanic open her up to see what my be the damage to the engine maybe. Mechanic quoted $2500 to fix the engine. Currently the engine does not start. Since the buyer will need to tow the van to either a local mechanic or elsewhere (which I have two references for great mechanics I have used in the Venice area ) I am also thowing in a transferrable AAA Plus Membership, which allows 3 "free" tows up to 100 miles and all other AAA type benefits; battery jumps, air, emergency fuel, and all other general roadside assistance) The body is in great condition with minor dings and NO RUST! Excellent Condition Roof and Canvas is in perfect condition. Has CD player with detacable face. Title and all documentation is current. Perks of this 1973 VW Bus are: Rebuilt transmission done November 2007 with 1 year warranty New master cylinder done June 2008. New brakes for both front and back done June 2008. New regulator was installed in May 2008. Good shocks. Good condition tires. Comes with original owners manual. Body is in great condition and most of the mechanical components (besides the engine) along with a strong frame, always get compliments on the rust free and straight frame from mechanics.
