Here is a 2000 Braun Entervan with the lowered floor. This van has a power sliding door and a power fold down ramp that operates with the push of one button. It is a local dodge dealer trade-in toward a newer simular van. The van is equipped with power windows and locks, CD player, cruise, tilt and A/C. It has the reliable 3.3 V6 engine that has been the proven favorite in the chrysler family. This van still has alot of life left in it and should provide some good service and freedom for a person that is on a budget. It is not perfect in any way, and does need some attention. Please read the description carefully.
EXTERIOR: The body and paint are in respectable condition. Overall the van is acceptable and clean looking. As you can see from the photos ALL the lower trim that is added on by Braun to cover the lowered floor is missing, and not included. The trim that is missing is mainly decorative, and does not affect the use of the van. There are of course a few minor scratches and dings here and there, nothing out of the ordinary. The paint is in good condition and all the trim(other than what has been mentioned) is on the van and in good condition. The Vehicle does appear to have had some rust repair along the bottems of it. It is all solid and looks as if it will hold up for some time to come. It is not a rust/salt free van, but it is in a point where it can be used and preserved without any immediate work. Slight rust on drivers strut tower top (typical). All the doors and locks work as they should. The tailgate opens and closes fine, and the hood operates as it should. This van looks good all the way around. Minor scratch on windshield in the wiper path and the hood badge is missing, not unlike a vehicle of this age.
INTERIOR: The inside of this van is decent at best. The carpets and seats are in fair condition, but everything is still functionable and in use. Smells fine. The dash and doors are in good shape. the power locks , factory radio and CD player work fine and sound good. The A/C only works on high speed (needs fan resistor, easy fix) and is moderately cool. It does work but its not the coldest I have felt. The rear A/C does not work cold. heat works fine but same deal with the fan only on high. The passenger side power window does not work. The interior appears to have been taken out, perhaps to clean it, and there are some insignifigant little trim items missing from the carpet and floor. The ceiling heater vent grills have cracks , no big deal, small issue. The rear side panels have magic marker stains etc. Again no big deal, but not for the fussy buyer. I am not very familiar with the Braun conversion, and I have not tried the kneel feature to verify if it works. The power slider and ramp work as they should with the push of one button the door opens and the ramp folds out. Push the button again and it folds up the ramp and closes the door. The front seats are removable with levers. The drivers seat recliner is not functional, the handle is broken, the seat is upright and in a good position, this can be repaired with a new recliner handle and rod. Overall the van's interior is useable and operable.
MECHANICAL: This van runs well and goes down the road nicely. The transmission shifts fine, and the motor is quiet and smooth. The brakes and alignment seem to be working fine, as well as the suspension and the exhaust. The van is actually quite pleasurable to drive. Performs well on the highway and around town. As far as any mechanical issues they are: the valve cover gasket in the front is leaking oil, this is an in expensive repair. And there is a little pulley noise from the belt tensioner, this gets better quickly as it warms up, in fact it goes away. The tensioner is an inexpensive repair also. Consult with a mechanic. E-brake holds and the horn works. this van has not been mechanically inspected, and the description is based on a lengthy test drive and visual inspection. We do not gaurantee any state inspection, however it is likely to pass or be very close to passing. there are no warning lights illuminated on the dash.
