You are bidding on a Vans RV-10 kit airplane. The kit number is 40007
The project includes the first three of four kits needed to complete the airframe. The empennage, kit #1, is about 90% complete. It really just needs to be assembled so it’s still easy to ship. The wings, kit #2 need the bottom skin put on them and the fuel tanks assembled. The fuel tanks are dimpled, de-burred and ready to seal up. The leading edges, flaps and ailerons are finished and also just need to be attached. I would put the wing completion somewhere around 75-80%. The fuselage, kit #3 has several parts started on it also. The firewall and a good portion of the fuselage bottom are mostly completed and ready to assemble. The fuselage completion is somewhere around 30-40%. I’m sure the overall project will meet the 51% rule.
I opted to prime the airframe to maximize the life of the plane. I used AFS white primer and have been very pleased with the results. It really has dried as hard as nails. The reviews of the workmanship from the EAA 43 members and inspectors have been very high. I put a lot of effort into the details on the project. I have about 900 hours in the project. All documentation for the product including inspections, construction manual, construction log and receipts will be provided to the buyer.
I bought the Kitlog Pro software to document the construction and have photographed the project all along the way. I will provide that software along with an older laptop that I was using to document the project. The project was stored in a hanger and covered up when I was not working on it. It is currently located at the Rocky Mountain Metro Airport (KBJC) which is between Denver and Boulder Colorado. Please let me know if you have additional questions or would like more photos. BUYER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR SHIPPING COSTS. Item will not ship until funds have been verified.
