This 1953 Aerocommander 520 is in good shape for it's age, great twin time builder, or family flyer. Manuals that are included-Stromberg injection carb. overhaul manual,520 parts and detailed maintanace manuals,Lycoming parts and operators manuals, COMPLETE ELECTRICAL DRAWINGS,AD logs, 2 commander flight manuals, complete registration history (microphotographs), complete aircraft-prop-engine logs from 1993. READY TO FLY TT AIRFRAME 3389 lft prop&hub 441 right prop&hub 421 (props are the upgraded 3 blade Hartzell) GO 435-C2B2 Lycoming engines- lft engine 1355 with all cyls. rechromed @ about 680 hrs right engine 716 (both engines have the upgraded stainless valves) AIRCRAFT IS CURRENTLY BEING ANNUALED, AND IS INCLUDED IN PRICE All ADs are complied with Radios- KX 155 digital NAV/COM KING KX 170B ADF Transoponder-NARCO AT 150w/ ACK- A30 encoder newer ELT that takes Duracell batteries I have included a picture of the specs. Damage history- while annual inspection was being completed (a few years ago), landing gear(left side) was inadvertantly retracted during manual hydraulics check. Aircraft was on blacktop ramp area, engine was NOT running, and plane not in motion at the time of collapse. Damaged sustained to-left prop blade(very slightly bent backward at tip, and paint scrapes-went strait down 3" into very hot blacktop, sunny 95 degree day),left gear retract arm, left wing tip(small scuff on plastic tip- didn't break plastic or nav light),and belly skin. one or two of the stringers in belly are very slightly bent. One former with sharp horizontal bend across middle. All repairs and inspections complied with-1 left prop blade overhauled and hub inspected for cracks, retract arm replaced, left wingtip inspected- no repairs necessary, belly skin/stringers/former inspected- no cracks found- repairs not necessary. The left engine was not taken apart for inspection, because this is not required for an engine with a gear drive. During a prop strike, the engine crankshaft doesn't absorb the impact load. Also the rubber mounts on this particular airplane are much thicker than most and helped absorb the impact. All the damage happened when I bought the plane about 3 and a half years ago. About 130 hours flown since WITH NO PROBLEMS. Plane is easy starting, simple fuel and hydraulics systems operation, and auto mixture leaning with pressure carbs. Very stable and easy to fly, will climb on one engine, and can be trimmed for hands off single engine cruise. E mail me for specific questions. The plane is currently at 10G (holmes county airport) OHIO. all inspections are to be made before auction ends. empty weight 3,836- gross 5,500. 22" @ 2600=26gph and 165mph IAS, 25"@ 2750=34gph and 180mph IAS. Interior cloth in goood condition. Pilots seats are black leather, dry and stiff, but intact and covered with black car seat covers. General paint condition is good, especially the green. We buffed it out after purchase, but could use it again. White paint on upper surfaces is dry and fading, but not peeling on main wing or fuse. Maybe some light peeling on elevator. May help with delivery at cost(fuel, oil, airline ticket home). Could also help with giving some initial instruction if unfamiliar with the 520 and fly for 5-10 hours to get your PIC time for insurance if necessary, but NO INITIAL MULTI TRAINING. I'm a CFI but not MEI. You'll have to come to me for this - can't spend 2 or 3 days off work to deliver AND give time in plane.
