This car has 84k original miles and is completely stock and was never raced or modified. The car has a clean/clear Indiana title and also has a clean Carfax/Autocheck background record. I purchased this car for a project but due to my work schedule, exc. and I am not going to be able to put the time and money in it that I intended to, so I am letting it go. The car has the correct Intercooled 3.8 turbo engine and the correct BRF 2004R coded transmission and 10 bolt 8 1/2 inch rear end.
This car needs some work to get it ready for the road. The previous owner passed away and the car was parked outside in the grass for over 3 years. It has all the things associated with this being done to it like the rust, had mice in it, dry rot, exc. The car has no brakes and they need all redone. The lines are rusty and have leaks. The factory powermaster brake system is on the car and cycles but I have no idea if it is any good or not...that is the biggest reason it will need trailered to its new location. I was told the car ran and drove out perfect before it was parked and I believe this. The car started right up with a new battery but the plug wires appear to be the original AC Delco ones from '87 so they deffinatly need to be replaced and new spark plugs added. The car should basically be all tuned up. The car was low on gas but there was still some in the tank when I added new, so fresh gas should really help it also. The exhuast has been removed from the catback because it was so rusty but I still have the cat converter that goes with it and it appears to be in good shape.
As the picts show the car has alot of rust issues but the frame and floor boards look really solid on the car. It being a hardtop with lower miles it should definatly be worth saving/fixing up. The bad areas of rust on the car are above the rear seats and in the corners of the inside of the trunk by the rear seat. The doors will need replaced as they are badly rusted. The rockers are savable as are the quarters if one chooses to do so. The front fenders are in pretty good shape as is the hood. The paint is dead on the tops of the car but the sides have some shine to them. I have several picts of the frame rails, floor boards, truck areas in question if you would like to see just email me for them. Ebay only allows 23 picts in there ads so I am limited.
The interior of the car is in decent shape also. Dash has some cracks(see pict) headliner needs replaced. Rear seat needs new upholstry becasue of the bottom, the fronts are a little thin is spots but still look decent. All pretty much typical things with a car that has sat out in the elements.
