FOR FIX OR PARTS....
You are looking at a 1997 Chevy Venture mini van. It has 123000 miles on it. (approx., my husband has made some local trips with it since I took the mileage.) I will list it with all the good and the bad to the best of my knowledge. I am in no way a mechanic but will tell you all that we know. This was our family van that we bought in 1999 at a local dealership and have owned through now. It seats seven and the seats are all bucket and can be moved in different formations. It has power locks windows and driver seat. The body is in good shape with some minor rust spots which I have pictured, its only around the tire area and underside of the van. There is a couple of minor dents but nothing major. It has never been in any type of an accident. It has a working cd player and am fm radio, the ac blows cold and the interior is in pretty good shape, it could use some cleaning since many a kid has been in it... It recently started overheating on me and has needed to be jumped to start it. We replaced the head gasket on this a few years ago so we have put a lot of money into it and decided to not put any more into it this time. We have bought a new car so this is just sitting now except a few local trips to the dump. So it needs to be jumped to start it and then is only good for small trips because it is overheating and blowing some smoke. The electric locks are also acting funny lately not always working. It is still running but we would not recommend this for long trips unless you get it fixed. We think possibly the radiator needs to be replaced or also it could be the engine again needing something. We are not sure exactly what it is and didnt want to spend the money on having it tested.
This would be a good van for someone who knows how to fix these things, or wants to get it fixed, or if not it has many good parts..It has been in a smoke free environment, no smokers have been in it. Its transmission works great, the body is in good condition, we just replaced the windshield so that is brand new and it has a good set of snow tires on it with lots of life left in them. If it hadnt acted up we would have kept driving this.
