M100 Trailer

Vehicle Description

M100 trailer with ship date from 1951. I bought this trailer in Northern Michigan about 7 or 8 years ago and it was a wreck. The right (passenger) side had been folded down after loading rocks from the previous owner. The front floorboard was gone also. After years of use I decided to clean it up a bit. The trailer was stripped and re-painted olive drab with paint from RAPCO. A new steel floor and front was installed and the interior of the trailer was covered with POR-15 to prevent rust. The old and broken trailer lights were replaced with Signal-Stat lights to make them as close to original (with the single stem to install). Reflectors were put on the rear and sides that are not original, but are as close to original colors as I could get without spending a fortune. The tires were placed with General Grabber AT2  to make it more manageable on the road, the wheels are original. The trailer also has the original brass data plate THAT IS VERY FADED. You really have to look at it from the right angle to read it now. I put on some repro data plates and have a replacement plate for the data, just like the shipping plate. I put Pat Larsen stencils on the trailer, all the way around. AND YES I know the TP 25 is in the wrong spot, thats what happens when you try to finish a job at 3 in the morning. It can be removed.

As the pictures show, the trailer is still bent somewhat from aforementioned rock damage. I had it heated and bent back somewhat by a professional welder prior to repainting. The original front is still present and you'll see the bottom is gone, the new front of fresh steel rests behind it. I undercoated the bottom as best I could with carriage undercoat. It has the original front 'leg" and a coupler that fits either a 2" or  1 1/4" hitch ball. New trailer wiring was installed, the stop and turn signals works but I can't get drving/tail light to work, not sure if its my harness on the tow vehicle. The reflectors are on the rear anyway and as stated the turn and stop lamps work.

I hate to sell this trailer but I cannot use it to haul stuff anymore, I just don't have the heart to ruin it after making it look good. I also do not want to store it outside and need room in my garage for my Willys Jeep and parts. I hope that someone can use this as a display or for parades or whatever I guess. I just hate to see it used hard again. Thanks for looking.

This trailer will have to be picked-up, I WILL NOT ship in anyway shape or form. I just do not have the time to do it. Deposit due within 48 hours if by Paypal or full payment within 5 days by certified cashiers check or money order, both of which must clear my bank before trailer is released.  Buyer is responsible for pick-up with 2 weeks of purchase or it will be considered as abandoned on my property and I will retain possession and you will lose any deposits or payments made.

This trailer is being re-listed after the last buyer from England tried to scame me. Since he did the buy it now I had to wait for the process to run its course before I could put it back up. Of note, the trailer leg in front does operate (goes up and down).
