1991 MURPHY SWEEPER TRUCK

  Hello and Welcome.  This is a 1991 Murphy sweeper truck.  I bought this truck about 4 years ago.  It has a 7.3 liter International diesel motor.  Allison automatic transmission with electric 2 speed rear axle.  Steering on both sides.  22.5 tires in excellent shape.  51,71 miles on the odometer and 4600 hours on the hour meter.  Starts right up, uses no oil and does not smoke.  Runs strong and crisp.  The Sweeper is Powered by a John Deere diesel with 2225 hours on it.  It also starts right up, uses no oil and does not smoke.  IT has a large water tank with hose and spray bars located on the front and by the side gutter brooms.  Brooms and gutter brushes are in excellent shape.  I just replaced the gutter brushes on the very last sweeping job.  It will need a new elevator chain and a little welding on the hopper floor.  This truck does a very nice job but is a little big for the smaller lots I am now sweeping.  I encourage and welcome inspections.  Similar trucks with twice the hours are fetching $30k on the internet.  Come take a look.  You will not be disappointed.  I just added a picture of the hopper fully raised.  The picture isn't that great but, the meausure stick shows the dump height of 8'6".  Parts available from used parts dealer in PA.
