Most of the airframe structure has been completed by the donor. All wooden structural components have been sealed with marine shellac, and they appear to be in excellent condition. All received approval for closure or cover in July 1975 (see photo #3).
The fuselage is covered on the top and sides by 1/8” plywood; the bottom is still open but the material is included. Fabric for covering the wing and tail surfaces is included with this kit, but we don’t know if there is enough to complete the project. Attached photos illustrate all the airframe components included with this kit.
A disassembled 1968 Volkswagen 65 HP engine is included with the kit. It looks like most of the parts are there, but we have not done a comprehensive audit of all the components. Attached photos show the included parts.
A set of drawings and assembly instructions are included in the kit.
The following components are not included with this kit.
- Main landing gear wheels and brakes,
- Cockpit instruments’
- Engine mount,
- Engine carburetor and magneto,
- Propeller.
This kit is available for inspection by prospective bidders. Please arrange an appointment by calling Norm Hild at 636-537-1302.
