Up for bid is a 1984 Cadillac Eldorado with 128k two owner miles. Local car with some minor rust at door bottoms and rockers and a surprisingly solid undercarriage. Front wheel drive with power provided by Cadillac's fuel injected 4.1L V8 and automatic overdrive transmission - decent blend of power and economy (about 23 mpg hwy.) Loaded with lots of power goodies. Looks great from ten feet, up close you can nitpick it all day. Needs a right rear caliper if you're going to drive it any distance.

Condition Report ENGINE: Runs on all six cylinders without smoking, missing, ticking or knocking. Runs at proper temperature and no check engine light. Good battery & charging system. Recent oil change. Runs smooth.  TRANSMISSION: Performs flawlessly. Engages gears quickly and shifts through all four forward gears and reverse with good downshift and torque converter performance. Clean fluid with no burn odors or noticeable leaks. EXTERIOR: Body: Body is in good shape. The door bottoms have some rust, and there's some hidden behind the rocker trim. A couple other blisters around under close inspection. Otherwise straight and solid. Above average for around these parts. Paint: Paint is nice and shiny - total repaint original color about 8 years old, I'd guess. Professional job. Minor scratches exist. Above average. Other: Front bumper is in great shape, rear has some rust as pictured. Undercarriage is solid with some surface scale but no rot - see the pics. Glass is all good. Hubcaps are in good shape with no pitting but some curb rash. INTERIOR: Interior is in nice shape. Non-smoker's car - no foul odors. Some loose trim pieces. Leather seats, door panels, dash and carpets are in very nice shape. Headliner is nice with some sag on the sail panels. Good interior overall. ELECTRICAL STUFF: All inspection items work (lights, horn, wipers, etc.) The power antenna does not function, and the a/c needs a charge but all other options work  - power windows, power locks, dual power seats, hot heat, AM/FM cassette, cruise control, tilt wheel, rear  defroster, trunk release and trunk pulldown all work.  DRIVEABILITY:  Drives beautifully. Suspension & steering are passably tight. Aligned well - tracks straight. Brakes have good linings, no noise, no vibration, but right rear caliper siezes up after a few brake depressions. Tires have about 70% tread remaining all around on a matched set of good quality radials. Exhaust is solid but has a leak up front on the main pipe (not loud enough to get a ticket.) Good power to get going and keep moving - nice highway cruiser. Very nice driving car except for the caliper. Needs a right rear caliper installed at buyer's expense (about $130) to pass inspection.
